What are your standard Check-in and Check-out times?

Check-in is from 2:00 PM onwards. Check-out is strictly by 11:00 AM. We kindly request you adhere to these times to allow us to prepare for our next guests.

Is early Check-in or late Check-out possible?

Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur an extra charge. Please request this at the time of booking or at least 24 hours in advance.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies based on the booking platform (e.g., Airbnb, direct booking). Please refer to the specific policy stated in your booking confirmation. For direct bookings, we typically require 7 days notice for a full refund.

What valid ID proof is required for Check-in?

As per government regulations, all guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in. This can be an Aadhaar Card, Driver's License, or Passport for Indian nationals, and a Passport and valid Visa for foreign nationals.

Where is "The Dharamshala Nook" located?

The Dharamshala Nook is located in Sidhpur, Dharamshala, close to the famed Norbulingka Institute. Our location offers a serene 'nook' away from the main town's hustle.

How far is "The Dharamshala Nook" from popular landmarks like McLeod Ganj?

McLeod Ganj (Dalai Lama Temple): Approximately 12 km (40-50 minutes drive).

Dharamshala Bus Stand: Approximately 5 km (15-20 minutes drive).

How do I reach the homestay from Gaggal Airport ?

Gaggal Airport is about 16 km away. A pre-booked taxi is the most convenient option and takes about 45 minutes to an hour. We can arrange a pick-up for an additional charge if requested in advance.

Is parking available?

Yes, we offer free on-site parking for one car per room booking. Please inform us if you are arriving with a vehicle.

Are heaters/air conditioning provided?

Heaters are provided in the rooms, especially during the winter months. AC is typically not required due to the pleasant climate, but please check your room amenities for specifics.

Are pets allowed at the homestay?

We are a pet-friendly homestay, but this is subject to the specific room and the size/type of your pet. Please inform us about your pet at the time of booking for prior approval.
